Through his more than 25-year career, including his current position as Data Protection Business Manager for the Minneapolis office of EMC Corporation, it is obvious that Dan Fitzgibbons knows the tech business. However, there is a lot more to him than that. When Dan moved to Minneapolis, he strived to become a prominent member of the community. He now has a beautiful wife and two wonderful children. As much as he loves his career, family and community have always been important to Dan Fitzgibbons. He grew up in Fargo, North Dakota as the youngest of five children, where he attended grade school at Holy Spirit School and high school at Shanley High, where he was part of a singing group and played football, golf and intramural hockey. Following that, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration from Moorhead State University in Minnesota.
Because Dan Fitzgibbons loves Minneapolis, he tries to give back to the community in any way he can. when he can. Of course, he does what he can to help the poor and homeless in the region. He works with Bridging, a program that provides those transitioning out of homelessness with basic household items that many people don’t think to buy them.
He also helps to feed the hungry through his work with Loaves and Fishes. That charity managed to serve more than 460,000 nutritious, hot meals to the hungry in 2015 alone. In addition, he works with Allan Law’s 363 Days Food Program, which partners with civic group to distribute sandwiches to the hungry and homeless. Dan Fitzgibbons also works hard with Dress for Success Twin Cities, which seeks to empower women and increase their economic independence by providing them with clothes appropriate for work.
